  • If you haven’t already done so, please add us to your site. Virtual2Actual. FDM printing, scanning and light laser cutting. We have a farm of 10 printers with beds up to 500mmx500mm. We print mostly in PLA, including exotics but can do ABS on request. We can be reached at samern@ix.netcom.com. …

  • Not you too @Ara!!! You were my go-to guy when I was ramping up, how could 3DH not qualify you?

  • Please add me to this list. I have a bank of 10 printers, all are FDM. I can print in PLA, ABS, PETG, ‘Special Filaments’ such as wood infused, metal infused, flexible and others – I most commonly use PLA because I can eliminate most warping issues with it. I specialize in parts that can be put i…

  • I actually have a similar issue. A thermocouple died and I tried to replace it with another. Instead I got a runaway temperature problem and had to shut it down. I am in the process of replacing the heater cores with ones that use thermisters and replacing the board with something I can easily confi…

  • Thanks for this. I really also appreciate the dual camera angle. As I feared, I will removing both extruders to clean them. There is probably a ton of plastic dust accumulated on the gears at this point.

  • It’s not the nozzle that needs cleaning, it’s the extruder gear. There is so much ABS dust in there that at speed the extruder just strips the filament. As with all my other printers, the procedure is to take a brush and clean the dust out. However, because the gear is pointing towards the rear and …

  • One video I would appreciate is how to clean the extruders. The XYZ video for this suggests cutting zip ties and disconnecting cables which is so silly because they have the gear oriented to the rear of the machine making access very difficult. If you have tips and tricks on that, I would love to se…

  • You are going to have to clean the drive gear. It’s likely that you either have a jam/clog (can you push filament through by hand when you bypass the gear?), or the gear is covered in stripped filament. In my case, my right extruder came with a piece of left over filament stuck in the PEEK tube. Usi…

  • I have the same printer and after I get the second nozzle cleaned up (it had some PTFE sticking out of it which is preventing me from loading filament into it properly), I will be testing S3D. Apparently it’s compatible with it. Otherwise, it’s going to be Cura. I was advised to not manually update …
