  • Hi Makerdaan, Sorry if this was unclear, but what I mean by extruder is the motor which pushes the motor into the actual hotend. On the Davinci Jr. it is the spot which you first enter the filament into and the teflon tube is connected in. Thanks for the help!

  • I am pretty sure that you can buy a spool of filament with the chip, unravel the xyz pla then put on your own. Since the PLA will melt at the same temperature, it should still print equally.   • I have a DaVinci jr and I used to have a problem where the filament jammed in the extruder.l (the jr had a Bowden extruder.) I fixed it by running the auto calibration don’t know if this will help you

  • Hi, I have a davinci jr, I am wondering if I can flash the printer as well. I REALLY hate xyzware since it doesnt work. I can’t put anything on the build plate and the rotating doesnt work. Would it be the same process or not? Thanks,

  • I noticed that in the top right corner, there is an option to change what the printer does. So you can change it to scan or engrave stuff. Of course you need a compatible printer but I think its just that all the features of the different printers were brought into one program.
