There are no cases for Fairphone 2, but there are other products. Currently there are the Nightstand and Amplifier. Be sure to check with someone from 3D Hubs if you could be able to print them. Specific kind of printers are needed for those, and as such, unfortunately, not all hubs can print them. …

@DIM3NSIONS indeed what @gabriela3d already wrote. Some really awesome things coming up. Cases not though, because the Fairphone 2 comes with an external case already, making it difficult just the design something around it.

Hi @universalist sorry for not answering your question earlier. Might be it is not relevant anymore now, but if it is I could ask my colleague who always makes the designs if she can provide a simple explanation.
-
But will it blend?
-
ok, price is a bit steep indeed, but he explained well why this is so I can understand. I see it as a good starting point. Now it is expensive in a couple of years it might be the regular thing to do and it is cheap
-
@Nancy you are aware that the people from your video are the same people from the @? I think the great thing here is that with Refill they take it a step further. It is not just PLA, it is a step towards any kind of plastic.

So true, and I think we have to remember this is actually a start. Just think about it that in the future our plastic waste doesn’t have to go on the waste belt, but can actually be reused in 3D printing. Now it is dashboards, next step might be plastic bags (although that might be a couple of mor…

Sounds like a valid point by @Creastudiostore Though what I can imagine is that in the research for getting so far that recycled material is of a good enough quality time and money is spend making this a more expensive product. Maybe it needs more time to become cheaper, not sure though. Good one …

Wow, that’s really cool. Would love to test it sometime. Going to discuss with my colleagues. EDIT: just got confirmation. We are already testing the material for Fairphone cases and other objects
-
Looks really cool
How much time did it take to print?
-
Ohh, we don’t really have a guide for this. But I can ask my colleague who does this more often if she can write this down quickly. Only thing is that she is currently really loaded with other work which has priority.

Hi Travis, Best is to contact the hub you want to print your case and ask there. You can do this by checking their profile and get in touch. What we usually hear here at Fairphone is that these costs go up to 7.50 euro, so that is about 6 pound I guess. Greetings, Sietse
-
Yeah, I also wondered why they would use a screwdriver for it, but you know how it goes
-
As Fairphone I would also like to comment to this. First of all very sorry to hear this @reikekind. Of course it is a shame that your case broke when it fell, though other than with our regular cases we sell the 3D cases as decorative item and not so much as protective case. This because already fo…

Thanks for those pictures. This really helps. I am going to discuss it with my colleague who can work on the designs.
-
I made a picture of my own case which was printed here at the office. Do you mean the patterns on top of the case that you can see here? [IMG_3204.JPG]
-
Ahh, I do not really have experience with Cura and such. I don’t do the printing here, I just do the support.
-
Hi Didier, This is not something I recognise. Do you maybe have a picture of the artefact on the printed case it self so I can compare it with my own case and others we have printed here at the Fairphone office.
-
Hi, first post here… Really nice print @gabriela3d At our office we have printed the Snowflakes quite often already and with good results. I am not in the office right now, but could try to make some pictures tomorrow. Anyhow, we do it with the standard speed that is also used for all other cases. …
