Sounds like the extruder and drive system is dirty, pull it apart and clean it. When I use my printer and it’s been a while I do a manual load to heat up the extruder and then unload it to make sure the extruder nozzel is cleared out. If you do that then you will have to clean the extruder minimally…

It sounds like your extruder is overheating, is your fan working? What is the temp of the extruder when it stops. If you have taken it apart or it may have gotten lose from the heat sync. I would check those out, if it’s a dual extruder try the other side and see if that happens.

Use a piece of lexan and you won’t have to use masking tape or hairspray.

Check the filiment cycle it as in load the filament. I do this before a print when its been a while since I’ve printed. Also your filiment could of broken off and that’s the clicking sound. Another issue could be that your motors are not aligned up.

I have a wanhao duplicator 4s and once you are able to dial the settings in for the filament you cam get amazing prints. I also use lexan instead of glass for my print bed at 100c for abs adhesion. Things stick a little too much so maybe 90c or 85c for the heated bed.

When clicking on the this abs nothing specific comes up about what type of abs you used. Can you provide a link to what you specifically you used.

Hi davidepecchini, I have purchased and have been using my Wanhao Duplicator 4s for quite some time, it’s a great printer with a metal frame construction, it uses the MK9 Dual extruder, which is a great product. I just looked at their web site www.wanhaousa.com and they now use the MK10 dual extrud…
