I am assembling the A6 and have a problem at attaching the small acrylic part to the fan/nozzle housing with the specified M3 * 10 screws. The screws are tight before the small part is secure.

So the screws are too long or the holes not deep enough!

Also the M3 * 10 screws have countersunk heads but the holes on the small acrylic part are not countersunk!

Has anyone met this and found a solution?

Thanks

Nigel

Have another look through, you’ve probably put the wrong ones in somewhere. :’) or you might need a spacer or something from one?

Thanks for that, but I’m not quite sure what you mean.

I am following the videoed assembly guide, which so far has been faultless and a great help.

It shows the necessary screws for the assembly of this part and I have double and triple checked that I am using that particular screw type. The video does not show any spacer being added.

I have attached here a photo of the problem. Maybe you can look on yours and see how it compares?

Thanks

Nigel

Just found the problem!

Looking at the printed instructions it specifies the M3 * 6 screw for fixing this part!

In fact when I also look forward in the video it specifies the M3 * 10 screw again to fix another part, and there are only two of those screws!

Sorry to bother you.

Nigel

I’ve encountered a further question, though I think I know the answer.

Connecting the cables to the transformer.
The video assembly instruction shows a red/black cable connected to terminal #5 COM. But the overlayed diagram in the video indicates that the red/black cable connects to the terminal #6 COM!

Now I’m pretty sure that any COM terminal is OK.

But I want to be sure here.

Nigel

You gotta be super careful here or you’ll fry the board, while you’re at it, may aswell check the region switch is correct too. I’ll check on ours, gimme a moment.

Thanks.

I believe you were going to check your own A6 and see where the red/black wire connected.

I appreciate your help

Nigel

Yeah ah, sorry, terribly busy, COM = NEUTRAL / BLACK +V = RED / LIVE

Sorry, I don’t understand that.

Can you see the black/red wire and which of the COM terminals it connects to?

The video showed it connect to #5 (counting left to right) and the diagram showed #6.

Thanks

Nigel

It doesn’t matter which com terminal, they all output the same voltage. there’s only positive or negative.

Thanks. That was my expectation, but I wanted to confirm to be sure.

Much appreciated.
