Most of our printers only work in plastic. You might be able to print a mold then cast a part from the mold.

I would wipe off any oil on the rods since it might tend to collect dust which would be worse than nothing.

Another possible cause is burnt filament clogging the extruder. If you manually turn on the heat in the extruder make sure you turn it off or start the flow going within a few minutes. If the extruder sits at hi temp it can burn and cause jams.

I wonder about XYZ vs Delta. I like the idea of the delta layout but I wonder what the drawbacks might be. They seem like they may be harder to set up and tune.
