Hi Everyone,
Back with another question / issue. I’ve been running ZSuite on my MAC, and it’s been buggy. I understand that’s just the case with the MAC version of the program for the time being. So, I tried to install it on Windows (first XP, then VISTA). The install goes smoothly but, when I try to open the program, I get this error (see image).
Does anyone know what it means, or how to correct it? I’d really like to try running ZSuite on my PC.
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
matt
Install latest framework from Windows update.
Hectic error, sorry, can’t help.
But what I’ve found on the Mac version of ZSuite is that I should only install the Mono version they link to on the download page for compatibility, not the latest one, maybe that’ll help with you MacOS problem
You have to install the frameWorks.
you can find it on the zortrax web site
Hi,
Thanks for your reply! I’m on the Zortrax website, and all I see is the software, and the firmware - is the firmware the same thing as the frameworks? If not, do you know where exactly I can find the frameworks?
Thanks!
matt
Not sure if you’re referring to Windows or Mac?
For MacOS, there’s a link for “other files”, “Mono Framework for Z-Suite on Mac”
http://support.zortrax.com/downloads/software/?os=macosx
For Windows, I think you’ll need an updated .Net framework
Hey, thanks for the suggestion.
So, which combination of software and mono framework would you suggest? I see there are three options for each, and I’m not sure which to use for optimum performance.
Thanks!
matt
I’m running ZSuite 1.4.1 and 4.0.4.4
That’s what I’ve been running, too.
Do you have problems when you add multiple items to the build plate? I’m trying to print about five items, and every time I try to add multiple models to the build plate, the software stalls and crashes.
Hello your system hardware of your PC does not support the ZSuite, try to upgrade or replace the PC you have with a more 'performance, hello.
Hmmm sorry no, no issues with multiple objects
The software is supposed to be compatible for Windows XP - Windows 10. I’ve tried it on Windows XP and Vista. What would you suggest?
Thank you!
matt
hello, your problem almost certainly depend from VGA, probably is old hardware and is’nt opengl’s compatible…
excuse me for bad english…i’m italian…hello
What you can try is before you install the software switch off your antivirus software. I had some trouble as well with that.
Hello,
Its most likely caused by outdated graphic drivers. Since XP is not supported by Microsoft anymore, we can’t guarantee that will work there. As far as I know, Vista is causing some troubles as well, but error shown on your pic indicates VGA problems.
Hey Marcin,
Thanks for the info. What Windows OS would you recommend, then? Anything past Vista?
Thanks!
matt
Hello,
Exactly, everything above MS Vista.
