I still dont think overnight orders count to the time. I get a few a week at night and my respond time still is in the 1-3min on average.

But if worried about it turn hub off at night and then back on in morning.

I’ve been told by a member of 3D Hubs customer support that reviews and performance metrics won’t be part of the new system and therefore won’t be carried over anyway…with a week until Oct 1st I wouldn’t worry much about the metrics much anymore.

MakeHub new link this one doesnt expire…

Metrics still matter though if you are not a manufacturing partner and are trying to get values in the green before change occurs.

What makes you think manufacturing partners aren’t already selected? Would it make sense to send emails to non-selected hubs telling them they were not selected and would be removed from their platform, risking all the issues with people trying to take customers away from 3d hubs, only to still be looking at hubs and see if they can get in the green before Oct 1st? This is starting to sound like a conspiracy theory.

Get your facts straight before saying this is a consipracy theory. 3D Hubs DID send an email out to people that would be kicked off the site. I present exhibit A -https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tBYMn4AhatU1BHcWVo11xaVROXbqBo48/view

You misunderstood me. The conspiracy is that hubs still have a chance to be selected to be manufacturing partners. If you got the email you’re gone. Even you get 100% metrics now, it’s done.

It’s interesting, I received the ‘getting kicked off email’ whenever it was sent out. But yesterday I received an email saying my request to become a manufacturing partner was still being reviewed even though I never requested to become a manufacturing partner.

Customers are still reviewing 3D Hubs. If 3D Hubs sees you are receiving poor reviews, they will remove you from the program.

I got some additional information directly from 3D Hubs today:

  1. There will be no restriction on who can order from 3D Hubs.

  2. There will be a 20.00 minimum order requirement.

  3. They are not interested in working with anyone to license or sell the 3D Hubs technology.

  4. They will be working on bad file rejection.

What I read into this - this is my own opinion:
There is no “business to business” model. This is only focused on weeding out Hubs that don’t meet their arbitrary and somewhat counteracting requirements.

Pretty underhanded to me.

I asked them about five times for an explanation of the ratings. They outright refused every time because they were afraid the Hubs would abuse the rating system. What I can tell you from my own ratings is that one decline, for any reason, dropped my rating about 0.6% and a completed order raised it by about 0.1%. This is all based on their dashboard. If a customer cancelled the order it might have been a lower penalty. If you cancelled due to a machine error, it was a larger penalty and they would automatically take the printer offline.

Amusingly, I am still getting orders in my queue. Admins are also manually declining and immediately archiving them.

Really?
So 3DHubs admins are removing those orders from your queue?

I have not seen that on my hub. I have got a few orders overnight before where the customer requested to cancel immediately after and they archived it before I got up. Those were typically because they didn’t get the hub they thought they were, or misunderstood the site and just wanted a price estimate and not place an order.

I have also seen where a completed order from months ago somehow gets moved to top of my list as a recent order. Maybe same thing happening with your archive page. Look and make sure it isnt an old archived order.

It’s official. 3D Hub BREXIT is here. We are OUT. So much time and effort thrown away. ONLY 24 hubs left in the whole U.K and only 8 pages of hubs left globally. Is 3D printing REALLY in big demand as predicted? We can only wait and see!!! Until then, peace out :v:

Its a sad day. No more 3DHubs. I feel bad about it and had a long talk with my boss at work today. He asked me what can you do to solve this issue not receiving any orders anymore. Building a new platform for all 3d printer users without letting them down (sorry, thats how it feels). He offered me one of his domainnames…3dprinterpoint.com and said: you can have it and build your own as we stop using it. Start a kickstarter campaign, team up with others as there will be more people with the same problem as you have. Turn a problem into a challenge…Who will help me  Nevertheless, thank you 3DHubs for the great opportunity and service!

Hey, you can join this site. There is allreay a discussion how now further.

Just finished looking at this myself. Within 100 miles of me, there were over 80 hubs doing FDM, including flexibles, exotics like steel and wood and PVA support etc. Now there is one. ONE HUB. They do PLA, ABS and PETG but no other types. Considering most of my orders in the last 10 months have been for flexibles, (fulfilled by 3D Hubs orders too!) this is a major gap in the market, locally at least.
I’m starting my own website in order to keep going, which is a good thing, but it is disappointing being ejected from the place I started.

I just got a call from a nice older sounding woman who happily asked me if I got the email about the changes to 3D hubs yesterday. I told her, “No, but I did get one several weeks ago about being thrown off October 1st.” Her reply, “ Oh, you’re a supplier?” Me, “I was a supplier and I was a customer.” She said she was sorry and did not know how those decisions were made, we talked a little longer and I finally told her, “I know this is uncomfortable, i’ lol let you off the hook and we can end the conversation.” She thanked me and wished me good luck. We hung up. She was a very nice person on the phone, put in a tough spot. I guess her call list did not show people who were both customers and suppliers. Oops.
