I was wondering if anyone has spare waste materials that’s in the Houston-ish area.
I started recycling/re-filamenting wastes. I am in need of more waste to test and work with. Would you be able to help? Once I have good quality filament, I will be providing you with a 1KG spool (More depending on supply) to test and play with. Please let me know if you can help!
Hey Jason! I have a whole bag of clean prints that I have thrown out. I have started crushing white and orange, so those colors are in separate bags. It’s all PLA. I’d be willing to ship it to you. I think I could do it for pretty cheap. What do you think? Email me at 17.markyoe@gmail.com
I got ya, and would definitely be interested in collaborating as well if you’re open to it. I’ve had the same thought as well. Have plenty of leftover waste, and I’m located in the Clearlake area. How about you?
I travel to Beaumont 2x a week. I’m like you and print loads in ABS and have a test spool ready. I have a white and black spool. Would you like to try one?
Wonderful! That spool took about $1.50 to make and stopped the old prints from going to the garbage! Can’t wait to hear your thoughts after you use it all up!
I don’t have a lot of waste but, normaly I trow it away, I would love to send it next time.
Maybe you could place an add on a 3D printers marketplace I created.
Its for everything 3D printer relates, as well filamentextruder etc.
Because we all have spare parts or filament we doen’t use (anymore) we did create a website where we can easily get rid of those leftovers.
So its basicly a classified website for 3D printers and accessoires.
Its really just up a few hours so there are just a few ads on this moment.
Feel free te add your spares you don’t use anymore and/or share the link with others.
Jason: I do have a variety of “old” PLA filament that I can give you for your recycling project; it’s aged and brittle and just doesn’t work well . I live in Sugar Land and am often in downtown Houston these days. Will be at Station Houston all day next Saturday if that’s a good location to meet – just let me know so I can pack all the materials up for you.
But I have something better for you – please demo your set-up and product at Houston Mini Maker Faire. We’re at the GRB on 11/12-13 and are planning for 10,000 attendees. A great setting to show your stuff – many (including me) will be very interested. Google the event for more info or click on this link: http://www.houstonmakerfaire.com/makers-2/ or get back to me with any questions.
