I have an assembly that consists of 11 parts. Is there a way to convert it into a single STL file, instead of having to open every part individually and convert them to STLs?

Does anyone know if this is possible in SolidWorks?

Open the assembly and go “Save As”

Use the drop down to save the assembly as a single part file.

open the single part file and save as .STL

In Solidworks, save the assembly as an STL file the same way you would do for a part

EDIT: Only works if the parts are touching, sometimes…

Save the assembly as a part in SolidWorks. You can choose outer faces, all faces, or all parts. Then save that single part as an STL.

Programs like Cura have a option to separate the parts. Right click on the part and fourth one down should be Split object into parts. this should work with your multi bodies, Provided they are an assembly in SW and saved as an STL.
