The person who posted the model is the one who chooses the license. They are also the one who chooses to enable 3dhubs plugin, which is disabled by default on non-commercial models. Seems pretty clear. Noone else is forcing the modeller to enable printing. The only part I don’t like is that the pro…

Hard to get it right. Looks like the customer can make an enquiry, owner can tirn it into an order, and then the owner can add a modelling charge with no stl.
-
Excellent. I’m glad it worked
-
Have them create an enquiry, then convert it to an order? I’ve only done it the once, and I don’t recall if that gets around the stl requirement. I can start an enquiry with your Hub to test, if you’d like. This is a case when being able to create an order and send it to a customer would be helpful…

Brian, Is 3dHubs going to be sending information out to Hubs that have signed up regarding the progress of this project? I don’t keep green filament, for example. If we’re 6 months or more from when my Hub might be added to the list then I don’t have to worry. If things are progressing more rapidly…

Is the price based on sliced volume with 20% infill, which I believe is the 3dhubs default, or by actual volume? Does the person who posted on Thingiverse get a commission or tip from this process? After all, they posted the model. Thank you for your time. Shaun

Hey, thanks for getting back to me so quickly. There’s a page selling the new printing service to the public. Is there a place where hub owners can go to see what is involved with printing for Thingiverse? It is al very new, so I’m sure the information will change over time, but some kind of living…

Heya Filemon, How is this coming along? Is there a place to get more information for the print hub’s side of the system? How’s the waiting list looking? I filled out the form a few days ago, but I’m curious about monetary percentages (who gets what), expected timings, communication with the buyer, …

Definitely use a padded envelope next time.
-
A tip: I’ve read that padded envelopes are sometimes better to ship in than a small box, as they take less of a beating due to how they are handled. Your box was on the larger end, but keep that in mind for the future. Also: Purolator was a bit less than UPS, last I looked. Did you check them out? …

I just switched it back to legacy. Perhaps there was a propagation delay for the setting. Thank you for checking for me. Previously I had set up the new style shipping as soon as we were notified. This morning it still wasn’t showing that I offered shipping.
-
I set up my shipping with the “per order” option, and I stopped showing shipping as an option. I switched it back to the legacy option, and I still don’t show as offering shipping.
-
Also the “hitting intermediate” part seems incorrect as well. Another hub near me has the student discount badge and they have fewer reviews than I do.

That benchy sheet is cool. I hadn’t seen it before. What it needs is some troubleshooting tips.

Check this troubleshooting guide out. https://www.simplify3d.com/support/print-quality-troubleshooting/

Have you guys placed that order? Do they give free shipping over a certain amount?

Wouldn’t a heavier head damp some vibrations?

Hey Jackson How has your experience been with the Mini? I was looking at the TAZ when I was looking at my first printer. From the little bit that I talked to the people from Aleph Objects, they seemed like good people. I heard that the Mini has a few features that will only be showing up in the TAZ…

Hey Tim, I thought this hub someone using the Ultimakers in the ELW lab! Those things are sexy, all lined up on the bench. When I was in the researching phase I was really looking hard at getting a TAZ (and took a decent look at the Ultimaker as well). I ended up going for the Robox. The upside is…

HIPS filament is dissolvable in limonene. If you can print two types of filament at once, this could be an option.
-
Print head designs vary, but the lulzbot TAZ even has the extruder in the head. The cost of printing a carriage is low, so you may as well prototype it that way, and then move to another material if required. Have a look at some existing printers and see what has been done.
-
Beautiful model. I think I’m jealous. I should stop by the lab more often and peer in the window to see what is printing.

On the CEL forums I believe they’ve said they are working on re-adding Slic3r.
