  • Have you tried the usual stuff like unplugging and reconnecting the USB cable, trying a different USB port, toggling power to the printer, etc?

  • Never knew about that Cura feature. I’ve always used MeshMixer to chop up stl objects (plane cut, then separate).

  • People are always moved by seeing a print of something they recognize. Maybe try props from well known movies, comics or video games. There’s plenty to search for on thingiverse and the other model sites.

  • First step is to get some solid measurements. You’ll need dimensions of the electronics board(s) and mounting holes, so you’ll be sure it fits and has places to be screwed down to the enclosure.
