I had no problem printing PLA on my 1.0a. I flashed my printer with repetier but had all stock hardware. I was not able to print PETG and so I now have a E3D v6 hot end. I usually print right around 200 degrees, depending on the color that might change a few degrees.

Have you tried changing the below firmware setting? Seems to be fixing the issue for some users. #define ALWAYS_CHECK_ENDSTOPS 0

I believe that is the default setting in Simplify for the Da Vinci. I have been using the default settings with no issues and even turn the speeds up part way through most prints with no issues. I don’t think it is a power problem or a speed problem. I’d guess there is something getting in the way, …
