a lot of people feel like the details on the print arent as clear and sharp as with the formlabs resin… I have nothing to compare it to (until my form 2 arrives soon) then ill do some testing.
-
I use MJ SF in my form1+ clone all the time… works perfectly good.

ive had my FFCP over a year now and never printed dual colors or dual filament ever… ive always thought the idea was cool, and just never used it haha.
-
BelleAim you are totally cool just loading one spool of filament. In fast it will work better… If you load two and only use one, the 2nd one can have residual filament on the nozzle and drag through prints etc. The FFCP is a GREAT printer, congrats… I love mine…

I ended up getting a Makerfarm Prusa I3v 12" so i have a 12 x 12 x 12 build platform and all in for about $700. I added auto bed leveling to it (and it works great). Im still working (havent had much time to play lately) on getting it all dialed in, but once thats done, its a really nice machine fo…

I dont find ANY video reviews or reviews in general online at all, so thats concerning. However they JUST finished their kickstarter backer orders, so its now available. I reached out to the owner to ask a few questions. Ill let you know what he says. Sounds like some folks may have a few issues, …

yeah i wondered that too, if you can add a zprobe to the rostock :). its a tough choice man… 2000 for the lulzbot and a little bigger bed, or 1200 for the metal plus.
-
Maybe i dont need a dual extruder, since I do have one on my other printer… hmmm interesting… how do you feel the auto leveling sensor works? once calibrated, even if the bed gets unlevel it should be able to sense that and adjust each print right? right now im leveling often
-
they are sold out of the dual extruder w/ heated plate. wondering how hard it would be to upgrade to the dual extruder. Im VERY impatient haha. i should totally wait til i come back from vegas the middle of april, give myself more gambling money, but thats not how i roll
-
where are you at mayhem? would you be ok letting me taking a look at it?
-
so that spool holder, yeah, quality is not there, but overall would you say the quality is very good? ive heard really good things, and not so good… this is a HARD decision for sure.
-
I am not someone who likes to wait either… lead times on the printrbot metal plus is a long time haha
-
mayhem. would you perhaps have a few pictures to share of your prints on the metal plus? I tried to pick up a lulzbot on the cheap (new) but it didnt meet reserve. 2200 is a lot to spent on a printer, especially if i can get this for much less but similar quality. Ive never used the dual extruder…

Well, you have made me look at my options for sure… For printers under 2500 in the 10x10x10 build size category there isnt much competition. I wish i had the ability (smarts) to build my own…

mayhem, thanks for the message… it certainly makes me think a little bit. im losing a couple inches in one direction, but that may not make a huge difference. There has to be something im missing in the mix here… ill do a little more research for sure. either way i think im done with the rostock.…

Hey guys… just testing the waters… Anyone local interested in a max v2 with a few upgrades? 1. 3 layer fans (from Seemecnc) (one in each location) for perfect cooling of PLA, Bronzefill etc. 2. Tricklaser arms 3. Peek fan of course. 4. Extra sheet of glass (from Seemecnc) 5. Sheet of PEI connec…

i actually kind of forgot about it the last couple days… i finished a job that had my printers going 24/7 for a month, so now im kind relaxing
ill get cookin here again soon. i just ordered the tricklaser arms… ill post results

So im finding out that more than anything the printing issues im seeing with the rostock is the banding, which I do think is a metric of a delta printer trying to do a straight line… My main print job right now has me making 8 inch x 5 in x 1.5inch tall things, which is basically rendering my rostoc…

Good evening… my name is Ryan… I am only about 6 months in to the 3d printing world. I own a rostock max v2, and a flashforge creator pro. Right now my stock is not getting much love. Just seems to have issue after issue getting quality prints from it, where as the FF is rock solid each and every ti…
