first time trying to proint and keep getting a halt with this error #34. "check endstops and restart printer. " Which I’ve done. Not helping !

ideas ??

Did you check all cable connectors are fitted properly?

If it is your first print, make sure to remove all shipping material and tape.

hope this is of any use to you…

Thanks for the ideas !! I’ll go check again for the odd piece of tape or such and pull and reconnect the cables. There are no special cables that go to the “end stops” are there ??

make sure cable up near the extruded is plugged in really well or you’ll get that error every time

I had this exact same problem. It’s not fun as it makes alarming metal on metal noises. You should ensure the spade connectors on the micro switches are 100% connected triple check and hopefully this works for you. If you want to give yourself some time to check the end stops but don’t want to squash your fingers get a cocktail stick and test them individually as if you were going to start a calibration.

its just a continuity problem in transit.

good luck hope that helps

The end stops are a simple continuity switch but the two wires must make full contact. I advise physically pushing them or gently wiggling them to make sure contact is made
