Hey there!

First of all, let me introduce myself: I’m the new Community Intern at 3D Hubs. Last week I’ve printed my first two prints on the BEETHEFIRST, which turned out pretty well.

Elephants are my favorite animals and I absolutely love the TV-serie Southpark, so make sure to share your designs with me, if you have any of them! Thanks.

Cheers, Koen

Hi @crystal_amazing,

Welcome to the community.

Nice prints, i’ll bet you will have a great time exploring the world of 3d printing.

Where did you get the 3Dhubs paper beneath you print ?

Best

Thanks! @ designed the paper himself, maybe I’ll publish a Talk-post about it this week. Would be cool if more people will use it when sharing their prints on the platform. Cheers, Koen

Very neat result for a first print! BEETHEFIRST is an amazing printer, very design and easy to use!

My first print was a bit ambitious, but I wanted to put myself through “3d printing boot-camp” so to speak. I wanted to print a 1.7 metre long Armidale Class Patrol Boat (take a moment to think about that size for a second) that would be fully remote controlled with a working bow thruster, nav lights, and rotating radars. After a year in development (lots of modelling and failed prints) i think it turned out well. So well, that I was able to market the kits, and replicate the principal with other ships to develop a range!

Thrown up a few pictures of the development. Enjoy!

Bernie

“A bit ambitious”? That’s the understatement of the century for your first print! Great job! My first print was an octopus… But I am only 12.

The fact that you were printing at that age is absolutely awesome! When I was that age, the most technical I ever got was connecting a small motor to a battery. Domestic access to 3d printing is going to revolutionize the world. And you have a massive head start! Keep on printing!!

Wow, this is amazing. I wish I would have so much patience and perseverance to complete such a eautiful model.

Good job.

That’s a really nice project, Bernard! I think this would be a good one to start a new thread on, so it doesn’t get lost in this one. I’m positive you’ll get a lot of good feedback here
