Hi all,

I finally got around to trying wood filament (Hatchbox PLA on QIDI Tech-1) the initial results were very good and encouraging. Started with a 20X20X10 calibration box to see what “wood” happen and it came out pretty good.

Went on the do an elliptical gear set that I think someone here recommended and it came out great.

My basic setting were Speed - 2000mm/min, temp - 200, .4 nozzle, bed - 60. Active cooling as for PLA.

I tried another at 220 (different part) and didn’t see any difference but a lot of stringing. I’ll try to post a couple pics when I get home later.

So far the wood was not nearly as intimidating as I thought it might be.

Do you guys tend to go to the lower temp side with wood?
