In a way I’m glad I found this site. Yes I have V3 issues. My wife works in Advanced Processor Design and my best friend is a high level professional computer “geek” Guess what? Yeh we cannot get the V3 working!

After seven E@mails to the IT Geeks they promised me a new motherboard…Has it turned up?

Has it like hell!

The customer service and back-up is unbelievably BAD. As many of you have said we have just chucked several hundred pounds down the drain. Has any one absolutely nailed the "cannot recognise usb connection issues? I’d love to know.

I built one for my son and it seems to print ok, not great quality but ok for him to play about with. I don’t recall having any issues with the USB but if your computer is failing to recognise it then it’s a driver issue rather than the printer, what OS are you running?

Hi

Adrian lets see if I can help you. I am a freelance tech for Eaglemoss and I will get you a satisfactory conclusion

What software are you using

Chris

Hi chris

Software is the download from Eaglemoss site and ofc I haven’t done the firmware yet. My computer is INTEL i7 950@3.07GHZ with 6 GB ram. OS is WIN 7 ultimate service pack 1. I have tried Repetier also with no joy. The printer has been tried also on A very high end Sony Viao with OS Win 10. And a Toshiba laptop. The tech geeks agreed I needed a new “Arduino” which was sent in due course but same result. Each and every hub has been checked and re-checked. All drivers are totally up-to-date. I have tried USB 2 an 3 on all three computers. I have opened V3 software as administrator. I have tried different usb leads. The conflict is the same as a great many other people are hitting…The computer(s) will simply NOT recognize the V3. “USB device not recognized” I think I must of watched and read every forum possible and I am yet to see a valid solution that will work. The computer(s) simply will not talk to the printer! It seems to me that the software on-board is not compatible with a great many people’s machines. I have almost (but not quite) given up and it has been a HUGE disapointment. If you can offer any solutions I would be truly over the moon. It’s a lot of money spent just to throw away.

Yours in hope

Adrian

Hi Adrian

Right I know for a fact the problems do not lie with your comps.

A few silly questions though…

Have you tried a new usb cable…?

You possibly could have a faulty usb port internal…?

When you received new motherboard did you do the firmware upgrade, if not please dont…?

Have you checked the hood limit switch…?

Chris
