I am using a wanhao duplicator i3 plus as my printer and I am using cura 2.5.0 as my slicer. Here is my problem, when I print a default file from wanhao it is perfect but however when I print a file i get from the internet I slice it (i have set cura up to what wanhao has said and i do print in solid) but my prints turn out like this

Underextrusion, alot of it. Since its worse at the top it could be nozzle clogging up

Speed could also be a factor.

Hello,

Refuce your speed and the retractation. It should be better.

thanks the link was so helpful

default is 100% out of 300% but i printed at 50% (the higher the faster)

i will try;)

I would agree with underextrusion. I think that version of Cura was defaulted to 3mm for material diameter when I first installed it, which if you didn’t change it to 1.75mm would definitely cause what you are seeing. If the slicer is thinking it is extruding a higher diameter feed material, it isn’t going to tell the printer to extrude as much.

The setting is under Material in the Print Setup.
