Where do you trade your models? There are tens of websites, I want to know which are the best to follow. I consider selling some mechanical toy designs.

I use & post on Thingverse & GrabCAD, which are freeware models (you do not sell them). Shapeways has an excellent shop. I’ve thrown stuff on there for general quotes, and I’ve unintentionally made money from people who wanted to make my design (Shapeways made it on my behalf).

Hi @Gurcan, there are actually several ways to go about this. If you are a Hub, then you should make the most of the image gallery on your Hub profile. Use it as a shop window, make sure to show off some of your best prints and designs!
Then you have content platforms such as Thingiverse, Instructables, Cults and many more, which are great outlets for 3D designers to show off their work. I guess the trick is how to amply your designs, by making use of social media channels, friends and family and posting in 3D printing communities such as Talk. Both @nino and @Nancy, for example, are doing a great job in consistently promoting their work with the community here.
Hope this helps!

http://www.yowlab.com it’s a very very new forum with even a few users. The mission is free collaboration between designer, makers and inventor. If you have an idea but you are not be able , for example , to model, you could find someone that help you.
Hi Curcan,
You can always post your models on your hub!
see for example https://www.3dhubs.com/amsterdam/hubs/saen
perhaps this is another USP where 3D hub can help us out?
It’s still a tricky thing if you invest time in perfect models and ask a few bucks, then the file is in hand of copycats
on the other hand is this the power of ‘open source’
Use your commercial skills to find out a good price/product proposition!
