Hey 3D print fans!
Now that our UltiMaker2 is working again and the new Builder has been installed we are preparing ourselves for Christmas! The first prints on the UM2 are simple snowflakes designed by Jon Monaghan that can be downloaded from Thingiverse.
I’ve used peppermint-cream Faberdashery filament of 2.85mm.
The settings for UM2:
Flow: 105 %
Temp: 210 C
Bed temp: 25 C
The result:

Printing the body in Colorfabb’s Leaf Green PLA/PHA and the rest in Black.
I will definitely be printing out some snowflakes in the near future. Downloaded OpenSCAD to attempt some unique ones based on this article:

Love them, Mercedes. Awesome job!
The hand grenade model actually looks really nice, I’m curious to see how it came out.
I always wonder why people post pics of failed prints like the one above. Please tune your printers if you are going to print other peoples files and post a pic. Those flakes would look good printed right.

Thanks for the input, @Luova3D, and feel free to suggest any settings adjustments. It’s worth taking into account though that @Mercedes managed to fix this printer just a short while back, so at this point any print feels like a victory
Anyway, we’ll keep you posted on any updates related to the phoenix rising of our UM2. Cheers
