I use to think I was an intelligent chap, I’ve had this QIDITECH Dual Extruder for a couple of weeks now. I’ve managed to print a single good model. But everything else I’ve printed has either come out badly or had to be aborted.
I’ve watched numerous videos on YouTube for setting up and levelling. I’ve also had advice from others with 3D printers which have helped some.
Some of the issues, initially I had a problem with models stuck to the bed and very difficult to remove without damaging the models, it was suggested to use tape on the bed, which I did and that has solved that problem.
Now I’m having a problem with filament not sticking to the bed, which I can only presume is down to using tape?
Often I get a build up of filament around the nozzles, I tried replacing the nozzles, same thing happens.
Can someone help this noob on the way ?
Try using a grade school glue stick, one that is washes off with water -or- hair spray.
I have a QIDI Tech and sometimes I get a build up of filament around the nozzle too. What seems to fix it is raising the bed by a bit. The primer line of filament before each print should be clearly visible and as wide as the nozzle opening but the nozzle should still press it down, keeping it against the bed. Leveling is crucial but once it’s set it can work great for a few weeks until it is time to re-level. Hope that helps! Also, if you can, add more pictures. It would give me and others more to work with.
