I’m a bot builder looking to print my three pound fighting robot frame, pulleys and motor mounts out of Kevlar reinforced Nylon, and I was wondering if somebody can provide the weight per cubic inch. Weight is precious and I need to get the most out of every ounce I have, and I need to know much the various mechanical bits are going to take up. Any help is very much appreciated.
You are looking at approximately 1.15 gms/cm3 or 0.0415 lbs/in3. With Kevlar reinforced Nylon, the weight will approximately be the same as Nylon but you will get much higher stiffness and strength.
