Hi, I just purchased a WASP 2040 and I am very impressed with its performance. I have some basic questions that I could not find answers for online or in the manual.
1, How do you clean the bed? especially after applying glue with a glue stick. Is scraping OK?
2, When calibrating, How far from the bed should the nozzle be?
3, When I pause to change filament midway through a print the WASP ejects the filament automatically, How can I get it to do this anytime I want to change the filament.
1 - I remove the bed and use water. Scraping can be done, but you must be very careful, specially if you have the new Inox print bed (the older is glass made)
2 - 0.1-0.2 mm. You can use a standard A4 sheet for 0.1, business card for 0.2
Hi, glue you can remove with wet towel, i use for cleaning “window cleaner” products. You can’t use “Change filament” option when printer is not printing, you should do it manually.
2- for calibration of the bed i use a sheet of paper. Raising or lowering the bed until you reach a minimum of friction between the nozzle and the bed
3- Sorry but i did not understand the question. WASP always ejects the filament when you set filament change. In other time if you want change filament have to pull it out by hand.
Thanks, I used a similar cleaner. It seems the easiest way to change filament is to start a print and then change it while it is printing the raft. This way it ejects the filament automatically.
I do not have the glass. It is a metal bed. So you think it is best for the nozzle to be slightly touching the paper? I have been having some issues with the print not sticking to the bed and the nozzle knocks the print off. I will test again soon.
Yes I have the newer bed and I do not want to scratch it. I have used a spray cleaner and soap and water. So, you are saying a business card should fit between the nozzle and the bed?
