Hi,

My print did not stick to the plate and when I realized it, the extruder hot end was engulfed in a ball of molten filament.

I cleaned it, but the temperature even after cooldown and restart shows 380°C. Seems the temp sensor is broken through overheating.

And ideas what part I need to replace to fix the issue?

Thx so much for the help!

If the temp sensor (thermistor) is broken, you won’t get the reading. Make sure you have set the correct temperature in your printing software. Use pronterface and set a lower temperature like 50 degrees for extruder and monitor the temperature. See if the temperature graph shows the temperature readings and make sure it stops at 50 degrees and holds that temperature.

Easy to replace you should get thermistors online you can get like 100 for 4 bux from china
