i have a Wanhao, and am trying to print ABS, the layers always seem to split and curl up, i have done everything all the forums have sugguested. Heated bed, katpon tape, abs slurry, and enclosure. But still can’t get the prints to work, they stick now but throughout the print the layers splits and curl up. I print as hot as i can about 238c but the printer display normally shows a bit lower like 225-232.
Generally if it is splitting then it is a cooling issue. The printer looks pretty open in the video. Are you using a fan at all? Don’t. Also check for any type of draft regardless of how small or insignificant seeming.
230 should be fine for the most part for a print temp. What is the bed temp?
Thanks for the quick reply, the video is with the cupboard doors open so you can see it i close the doors when its printing so it get really hot in there, maybe i can try and tape up a few minor gaps, but was worried it might get too hot?
