I just printed a couple of marvins but always get a vertical line at the side.
Research tells me this is a z-scar, but i can not find a way to fix it.
I already tried altering temp, extrusion and retraction settings but without result.
I am printing with flashforge finder and flashprint slicer software.
If anyone could give some advice on how to fix this.

I am guessing that is the point when the printer moves up to the next layer and leaves a little deposit of plastic as it moves up(?) In Simplify3D you can limit this effect by:
- Randomising the start position of each layer - so on each layer the start and end point will differ and not leave a noticeable “line” going up.
- Add in coast and wipe settings - when you tinker with coast and wipe - the gcode tells the printer to basically stop extruding just before the layer finishes to reduce extra plastic from melting down, and to move (coast) over the end point a little and then go back - again to reduce excess plastic from oozing out the hotend as the z-travel is executed.
Not a Flashprint user, so cannot advise on any settings for that, sorry. Hopefully they have some similar settings? Maybe even increasing retraction may help you a little? Your black Marvin looks a little choppy though too, is that at 0.3mm layer height?

This is normal for any FDM printer. That is a seam line created when the extruder tip starts and stops at a given point every layer.
This cannot be removed. Seam placement is a better method, but cheap slicing software usually doesn’t have those options.
Thanks for the advice, after changing the extrusion settings i got a much better result.
