Hi all at 3D Hubs,

my name is James, I work for a television production company in London called Blink Films.

I’m working on a pilot for as US network about antique restoration using CAD and 3D printing - the idea is to bring irreplaceable parts back to life!

I’m looking for a person or team who can actually design and print missing parts for the show.

For our pilot we have a vintage one-armed-bandit. It’s owned by a chap who bought it 15 years ago for his mum, who used to play on these machines in the milkshake bars in the 50s.

He tried to restore it for her himself, but the model is rare, and parts are hard to come by.

We want to use the magic of CAD and 3D printing to recreate the vital missing pieces. We have access to specimens of all the parts, borrowed from completed models.

We need someone to draw the missing pieces using CAD, print them, and put them back into the machine with the help of our one-armed-bandit expert.

If this project is of interest to you please do get back in touch on this forum or at

Best,

James

Hi James

This sounds a great project i am interested in taking part. I live in Australia but thats not a problem as the majority of the info is electronic. Its only the final product of 3D print that is physical and could be posted to wherever required. What a fantastic twist for your documentry how global resources can be tapped into for 3D design and Printing via hub networks. Please have a look at my hub page. I will send you a private email
