Hello, and good evening. I’m new to the hub and am just wanting to get in to 3D printers. I have been toying with the idea of buying a printer, but here recently one has landed in front of me that may be a good deal. My questions are the following:
1: Uprint printer, to much for a beginner?
2: Printer was bought at auction, basically looks new, comes with all software, books, some spare parts and shows 400 hrs on printer. Powers up and seems to work. Could something catastrophic be wrong with it?
3: It has not printed in 5 years according to print history, could the material nozzles etc… be clogged/ no longer usable.
I guess my real question is with the above being stated would any of you be afraid to purchase and why?

I personally wouldn’t buy a printer that hasn’t been used in 5 years, there are some components that could be damaged and either the seller has forgotten, is unaware, or doesn’t want this to be known.
If you’re just starting in 3D Printing I would recommend a cheaper FDM machine. around $500-1000 USD.
