If anybody is interested in an advanced Heatbed for your Up!Mini, there is a campaign on Kickstarter: UP! Mini Bed+ by James McVay — Kickstarter

@Andrew_Smith. That’s a nice design and a good product. I’ve been using an Up! Mini for 3 years. Mostly on 3DHubs and there’s no doubt in my mind that this would definitely be an improvement. Unfortunately, I’ve outgrown the Mini and it’s now more of a standby machine than anything so I won’t be rushing to buy one. Will back your campaign though and I wish you the very best of luck with it. Hope you don’t stop there and give your attention to the extruder next. Specifically a temperature control and something that powers down the extruder stepper when the printer’s on standby.
cheers!

@Pot8oSH3D Actually it’s not my product or kickstarter campaign, but I think it’s a nice product which I would like to use for my own Up!mini. Unfortunatly it seems not to get as much attention and backers as needed.
Oh! Right! Gotta be said, the Mini’s not the newest of printers and I guess that most of the user base just live with its foibles. I was hoping that the new reduced pricing would bring in a load of new users but I guess it’ll take them a while to realise those idiosyncrasies. So the guy may be either a tad too early or too late. I hope not as the product deserves to fly off the shelves.
