It would be interesting to see some kind of statistics about how many orders that are made for SLA/SLS/FDM printers. I’m using 3 x FDM printers from “small” scale like Prusa i3 MK2, to larger scale (gCreate gMax and Zortrax M300) also using a Form2 for SLA prints and considering a SLS printer, although it would be nice to at least be able to see the number of orders in my region for SLS prints, if they are ZERO today and I can find one or two SLS printers in my region there’s no really point for me making an investment like that.
At the moment it feels really shaky making any kind of assumption when it comes to hardware investments since the 3D hubs backend can change any at any time which could potentially change the amount of orders I get.
I dont think there are any stats available really right? When I got my SLA printer I contacted each hub in my area using the Form2 and asked them about the number of orders they had, two of them was happy to give me the numbers and one was not
It made me order the printer though, and I’ll reach ROI in 12 months it looks like now…
The investment when it comes to an SLS printer is WAY higher though, hence the risk is alot higher…
