It’s finally #BackToTheFuture Day! October 21st 2015 has arrived. The exact day Marty McFly and Doc Brown travelled to Hill Valley in Back To The Future. Many predictions were right - wireless video games, 3D movies, tablets, video conferences, virtual reality etc. Unfortunately, they missed one amazing thing that we have today: 3D-printing.

5) Model of the Delorean DMC-12

6) Marty Mc Fly’s Guitar (Game Controller - CNC)

Made by NathanS

This is a gaming guitar CNC Router Parts put together for the 2015 Portland Mini Maker Faire. The body was cut out of MDF (though basswood would be a better choice) using a CNC Router Parts Benchtop PRO and a 1/4" flat endmill for most of it (1/8 v-groove bit for the front body accent line). The electronics are a basic PIC microchip keyboard controller with inputs from 5 industrial limit switches and a small micro-lever for the stroke button.

7) Flux Capacitor with LEDs

Made by The Planet Mike

This is a Flux Capacitor with the option of putting electronics inside to make it light up with LEDs. Watch the instruction videos by ChaosCoreTech first

8) Pepsi Perfect Bottle

Turn any pilsner glass into a Pepsi Perfect bottle with this scalable Pepsi Perfect lid. The lids are scaled to have an inside diameter of 1 inch, way too small unless you want a future shot glass. Measure (in inches) the inside diameter of your favorite pilsner glass, easily obtainable at any thrift store, and scale it by that much.

Props to @Sean_1, who’s done most of the homework for us a while back, with his Welcome Marty McFly post

Any other cool designs to 3D print this BTTF day? Be sure to share them below, together with the prints and we’ll add your print to the list!
