The rumors are true!

Last week Thursday we piloted the second, in our series of Featured Event at 3D Hubs NY - Scanner Party.

We have teamed up with our newly integrated partners @RamPrasad

to host a series of scanner parties, giving you our community the opportunity to find out more about 3D scanning.

Drinks, snacks and socializing were followed by a brief overview of the technology behind 3D scanning; an outline of the process of going from scan to 3D mesh to printable file to print; before the real fun began. Everyone had an opportunity to be scanned and try their hand at scanning each other or objects. No one took us up on the suggestion of bringing a wild animal for scanning, but this was just the pilot so there’s still opportunity for that.

Especially great to have Alban, James and Corentin from @RamPrasad at the workshop!

Also great that Kat from Fueld3D could join us and offer her expertise on the Scanify.

So looking forward to seeing you at our next meetup on May 30th!
