I love my new M200. It’s been busy for thee days now of non stop printing. It’s been making flawless prints! I do have some suggestions for improvement:

1. On the Mac version of Z-Suite the installation is not well documented. On the first run of the software it presents a dialog box requesting the user to enter a password and then appears to freeze. (Meanwhile it’s scanning the hard drive for components or something…) This freeze can take up to 20 minutes before the process completes and you can type in your serial number to run it. I strongly suggest a different dialog to start that says: “Installing first run. Please be patient this may take up to 20 minutes to complete.” Then AFTER the process completes put up your serial dialog. (After the program is running again.) Even better put up a progress bar about this mysterious activity…

2. In both Mac and Windows versions of Z-Suite… I notice if I launch the program and slice a model the progress bar progresses smoothly in small increments as the slice process completes. If I go back to make a change and re-slice the progress bar does not progress smoothly. It moves in 50% chunks. Somehow the progress bar is not getting re-initialized properly after a previous slice attempt. The work around is quitting the application and starting again from scratch. Seems like this could be fixed?

3. The M200 firmware works very well… But it would be nice if you could pause a print. Or pause to reload material. It’s not fun if you run out of filament 10 min before the end of a print.

Seems like there could be an option to pause the print, re-load material, and continue.

4. Seems like the platform connectors could be better. And the small connector is way to fragile for daily use.

Otherwise… You have the best printer under $2000 on the market. Love it!

Hello,

1.

Good idea, noted and passed to software department.

2.

Same here, noted and passed.

3. You can Pause, both from firmware and Z-Suite. To pause during a print, please press LCD knob for about 10 seconds.

In, Z-Suite, after slicing model, there is a Pause option.

Regards,

On 1. you are lucky you only hit that hurdle. There are far more hiccups in the Mac install.

On 3. Press and hold the toggle button. It takes a while and you have to keep holding it in, supposedly 10 seconds but I’ve felt at times it was longer, and it will pause.

Hello How are you. I’m not sure why you have problems on Mac platform as my multiple Mac installations finished within 10 - 12 min max. On Pause request, there is one.

Check your microcode as there is awesome Pause function. We are using it frequently to print multicolor parts. Bear in mind that color will appear on layer bands. Check our social media to see latest multicolor we printed. Www.paliproto.com

Happy multicolor printings.

You can add pause during z-code build. It It is much more clean and it will completely discharge old material for fresh crisp color.

point 3 you can pause the print by a long press on the button on the zortrax, till it beep, then you can choose to change filament, cancel print or continue the print

connectors seem fragile, but I use daily my m200 since more than one year and hav no problems with them

1. I have pc no comment

2. hmm interesting never noticed it

3. You can, just hold down the button for 10 seconds you can pause and you can change filaments

4. I know right… I’m scared every time I take that out

Ya i’m in love with mine too

Thanks Marcin! I did discover #3 yesterday on my own. I was not holding the button long enough. I looked through your owners manual. I did not find any mention of the pause feature. I am guessing you added it after the manual was written. That’s a great feature. Thank you!

Never have ordered anything for the Zortrax from Amazon. Usually order from Maker Shed because they still have the ABS filament for $19.95.

All other resellers I have looked at (Including Amazon) are selling the same ABS filament for $39-$45 a spool.
