Hello.

I recently purchased a FlashForge Finder.

It is only a few days old and have produced about 5 prints. Most of the prints have been coming out very stringy, almost hair-like, around the edges. Is there anything I can do regarding this issue?

Many thanks!

Will need to know what type of material, print temps, print speeds and what slicer.

My apologies, I am very new to 3D Printing.

The material is PLA, print temp (extruder?) 220 degrees, standard speed and Flash Print for the printing program (slicer?).

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Ok, 220 is pretty high for PLA. Normal range is more like 195-205.
Flashprint is fine but make sure it is updated to the latest version.

Probably slow a bit to 40mm/s in general. I think Flashprint defaults to 60.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will see if there are settings that I can change. Is possible that the extruder has gotten clogged or something is lodged inside? Just curious what might else be causing this problem if changing the settings doesn’t solve the issue.

Stringing is usually from temps first and retraction second.
Higher temp tends to string more. Some colors can be stringier than other by nature.

I’ll see about lowering the temp and get back to you later today.

Many thanks for taking the time to consult!

Super stringy!

Too hot is my first thought.
