guys can you please help me as ime new to this ive got my a8 assembled got my self a laptop its a window 10 i have managed to download cura 3.0 ihave purchased the stl viewer from the micro soft store . so my problem is when i visit thingiverce push to download a stl file its says downloading but left it last night for 20mins downloading and nothing only a simple push button stl when i watch youtube vidsthe seam to download in no time at all could it be something to do with my laptop settings please help
If you are going to print these stl files, why not just open them in the slicer that builds the machine print code? I’m not sure which comes with your printer but you can use others like MakerBot, Cura, Simplify3D etc. The slicer will allow you to look at the files and move around the camera around the model.
As for downloading, most from thingiverse takes only seconds if not instant for me. Could your virus checker or browser be blocking the download?
If you’re using Windows 10, 3D Builder is going to be the best native program to view the .stl files, but as @TheOctopus mentioned, it might be more simple to just open them directly in your slicer.
