This goes out to the team at 3D Hubs and also the community to see how many of you would be interested in this data.

Few questions to establish the discussion:

  • Is the data available? If not, any plans on implementing it?
  • Who will benefit from this data? e.g. Hubs will know what type of material is in demand, filament manufacturers can observe trends for example: the market is moving towards higher glass transition temperatures, engineering plastics, printer manufacturers: building more robust systems that can take in TPUs, abrasive materials (CF, Woodfill, Bronzefill) without problems (provided demand is there)
  • Are there any negative effects, disadvantages to 3D Hubs, manufacturers and the community if this data was made public? If yes, why?

Hey thanks for sharing! Didn’t know there was a color distribution chart already. So they have the information. I’ve uploaded it here for those who haven’t seen it. Maybe next round they could incorporate a materials chart :slight_smile:
