Hello fellow Hubs,

So I want to print the infamous machine designs on my Bee, but the stl consist of multiple parts (see image). Call me crazy but I can’t seem to find the “split model” function to seperate the parts, like Cura has. Anybody an idea? Thanks!

I would give netfabb basic a try.

I use several software packages to get finial results.

Is this model online? If so I can download and see if I can split it.

Need to separate in other software as slice the last or first layer as well…

That’s the worst on BEE :frowning:

Right , i have that printer too and i never found that function. So what i do is , i do split it in Autodesk 123D first in diferent files and than i have to print every file at a time

To detach a shell from several inside an STL file you can easily use the software netfabb Basic which you can download from this link free of charge.

Below you can find a video we made to show how to detach shell elements from STL-files.

Ok, thanks guys, clear. External software it is then. Shame it isn’t build in…

@Georgeh1ll not sure if the file is available online. I think I paid for it at the time, can’t remember. It’s from a designer which makes me a bit hesitant to share. @Simona know if I can share?

Ok no problem the only ways I know how to do it is either in Netfabb or in cura right click split parts then save the model as Stl.

Also if you paid for it you can’t share it i don’t think as its copyright.

Ok thx. I will go for Cura indeed. Will share the result later. cheers!
