Does anyone know how I can silk screen or pad print onto a 3d printed item?
I have detailed artwork that needs to go on a 3d printed item with many curves in it (Not flat like a piece of paper)
Any idea how to do this and WHAT MATERIAL i should print the 3d item on?
Thanks!
Dave
You want to look into hydroprinting. Type that word into youtube and you will get the idea.
This might be a job for decals. I used to apply them to plastic models when I was a kid.
That’s the ticket right there
Yeah hydroprint you can use inkjet printer as well
Hi.
How can you use a inkjet printer to print onto a item that you made with a 3d printer?
Obviously you cant put the item in the printer, so can you explain?
Thanks for any info.
Dave
Hey Ed
Thank you for the info.
Any sources you know that can make a good decal custom?
Or I can just google.
Thanks again for the idea
Dave
If your inkjet printer is pigment based you can print on the hydroprint paper. Also clear and white based water transfer decals can be found and used on inkjet printers as well.
Hi Ed
You just posted a video, but I think they deleted it because maybe they do not allow links in the forums.
Can you tell me how to find it?
Thanks again
Dave
