Hi Joel,
Thank you for contacting Simplify3D support. I’d be happy to assist you. We do not distribute legacy versions of our software. What issue are you having with your printer in version 3.1.0? Can you send us your verbose communication log from the Machine Control Panel (Tools–>Machine Control Panel)?
Thank you,

The bed leveling wizard does not work in version 3.1.0 with my setup (davinci 1.0 - 1.1.J). It works perfectly with version 2.2.2 S3D. I only have the x64 installer for that version, however. I’m setting up a junker (x32 windows) computer in my garage to get the printer out of my house so my 2 year old will not get sick. I prefer not to be troubleshooting the new version of S3D since version 2.2.2 works perfectly with my setup. I’d appreciate it if someone could just send me the installer for S3D 2.2.2 x32 Windows so that I can get back to prototyping and getting work done for my deadline. I’m not sure what the problem is with providing access to legacy versions for licensed users. This seems like a simple thing that is being made complicated for no apparent reason.
I’m attaching the log file.
Thanks,
Joel

Hi Joel,
Thank you for your reply. On your 1.0 running 1.1.J firmware, are you not able to use the jog commands in the Machine Control Panel (Tools–>Machine Control Panel)? These should allow you to move the nozzle to the same points you would use in the bed leveling wizard.
The bed is 200 x 200 so you’ll want to jog to (10,10), (10, 190), (190, 190), and finally (190, 10).
I hope this helps,
Please email me back if you need further assistance. Thank you again for contacting Simplify3D support.

Simplify3D Support,

- The manual jog controls only work for the bed and not the extruder. When I press the retract buttons in any access I just get a beep and then it will beep each time for about 5-6 presses and then it stops beeping. It also stops doing anything.
The bed is 200 x 200 so you’ll want to jog to (10,10), (10, 190), (190, 190), and finally (190, 10).
- This does not help as it does not work. As I have stated previously.
Please email me back if you need further assistance. Thank you again for contacting Simplify3D support.
- Thank you. Yes, I think I would like to speak with a manager regarding my issue. I am a licensed user of your software. I am already running version 2.2.2 x64 with great success. I have no need to change this setup at this time as everything works quite well and I am getting good results. I was not aware that it is Simplify3D’s policy to not offer downloads of previous versions of their software. Quite honestly, in all my years as a 3D professional I have not encountered such a practice. If I was aware of this I would have been downloading every installer for every version that you have hosted since 2.2.2.
What is concerning for me as a Simplify3D user is that the company is more concerned with having me troubleshoot your most recent software release than you are with me having a deadline and needing to get work done. The fix is simple. Provide an FTP link where I can get the older versions of your software and installers or email it to me. Instead Simplify3D is insisting that I use the most recent version that you know has a bug with the automatic machine control. I can only assume that this is in the hopes that I will help you bugfix your release. This is a very arrogant position your company is taking since it completely disregards the customer in favor of Simplify3D. Can you please respect my time and provide me with the installer that I am asking for (2.2.2 x32 Windows). I really am at a loss at this point regarding my support experience with Simplify3D.
-Regards
