I’m currently running marlin on a BQ Witbox. An issue I’m having is that when I plug the rapsberry pi to the arduino serial port the screen of the 3d printer goes a little dim.

The arduino and ramps 1.4 are powered with their own power supply so does not need power from the USB.

I have removed the 5v power from the USB to stop the LCD staying on when it’s off. If I leave the USB plugged in and turn the printer on and off. The screen stays bright for about 15-20 seconds then dims again, becomes bright when I disconnect and does it again when I plug it in.

This is my first post so forgive me if I haven’t explained the problem properly.
