Hello everyone,

As we’re looking forward to the new year I’m reaching out with an important update on 3D Hubs events for 2017. To warm-up though, let’s first have a quick look back to 2016 :wink:

Together, we hosted a total of 211 3D printing events, with close to 5,000 visitors. To get a sense of the numbers, this is about 1 event every other day, or about 15 people attending a 3D printing event each day!

For 2017, in order to keep growing and offer better support for events, we’ve decided to move our event hosting capabilities to Meetup.com. As many of you suggested, our current events functionality is very limited. With Meetup.com being exclusively focused on events, it has a lot of features to offer that 3D Hubs, at this point, can not.

We expect our community in San Diego will directly benefit from the platform change, allowing us to attract a lot more people outside of 3D Hubs to our community, as well as potential sponsors and venue partners.

So here is our first one!
