Hi I currently own a CTC Dual and i am using Makerbot dekstop 3.8.1 with it. I was just wondering if there is a way to increase surface thickness instead of just roof/floor thickness. Heres a scenario

Imagine a staircase consisting of 3 steps. Floor thickness adjusts how thick the base layer (bottom of first step) will be and roof thickness will adjust the thickness of the surface of the 3rd step, or the highest layer. Is there a way to adjust thickness for the top-facing surface of the first or second step?

OR does setting roof thickness actually already accomplish that?

Roof thickness is the thickness of all outer top layers. So the steps in between would also benefit

All top external surfaces would benefit.
