I am thinking about buying a 3D printer and am in the research phase. All of the affordable 3D printers I am finding under $200 all seem to be real small. Even the more expensive ones for that matter. I am wondering if you have a 6x6x6 printer how would you print something that is large?
for example if I wanted to print a cutting board that was 8x8x0.5. Is that possible? Or are all those printers basically only good for printing toys and jewelry?
I would like to try and try and print parts for my motorcycle like a battery cover which would be like 9x7 at its largest part.
Thanks for any help in advance.
I have 3 printers, one is a QIDI TECH and the other 2 are HICTOP machines. The Hictops run all the time and are copies of ther Prusa machines. The Hictop machines run all the time 24/7. The Hictop machine beds are 300 x 300 x 400mm and should do the job. They are around the $500 mark now, but do your research.
Another very big factor is the material that you are going to print.
ABS is very temperature sensitive, PLA ans Carbon Fiber not too, but PETG is about in between.
Good Luck an do your homework, it is worth it.

I love my CR-10 and would totally recommend it. I made a lot of videos on my youtube channel about it here: www.youtube.com/3dnow The CR-10 has been one of the best selling 3d printers for a while now for plenty of reasons; Low price, huge heated bed (300 x 300 x 400), many materials, fast printing, great build quality, easy to use, etc. It can print many of the materials you are looking for.
I have a coupon to get the CR-10 on Gearbest for $339.99, which is by far the lowest price I can find.
