Hi everyone, i have a weird problem that i just can’t put my finger on, i started a print yesterday and the print went fine up until 67% when suddenly the print head just stopped. I don’t know if extrusion was still happening because i came in an hour later and by then there was no plastic coming out of the nozzle, guessing it’s clogged now. But the fans were still turning and there was no error. Screen still showed 67% and 7 hours of print time so far.
The motors are fine, when i cancelled the print everything moved to the starting positions without a problem.
Before that print i had another print i wanted to try which resulted in the printer starting the skirt and on it’s second layer extrusion just stops and the head starts slowly moving to the left wall and doesn’t stop. Had to stop it there before it broke my belt. Something fishy is going on. For this print i could imagine the file being corrupt because it always happens at the same spot. But for the other problem i don’t know if it’s even related.
#1. Please do not print unattended, unless you want your house to burn down.
#2. Check your end stop cables.
But most likely, this is an SD card issue. Reformat the SD card using SD Formatter if you have windows. Do not use the windows reformat.
If the end stop cables are good, but this continues, you need a new sd card.
