Hello Guys,

i’m quiet new to the 3D-printing. Because of my low budget i bought a Wanhao Dublicator i3 v2.1.

Maybe you guys can rate my first prints and tell me what i can improve in the settings or hardware to get a better print quallity.

Learned from video’s and blog’s, but i think the printer can do better.

I appreciate every help.

In the attachment are pic’s of my Cura settings and some prints.

Greetings spongy

I think the prints are pretty good. Benchy needs an overhaul!!

I think I might get a regular PLA to get dialed in with because I am thinking the one you are using may be more tough to print with.

Go to .2 for layer height for now. Temp could be a little high (Benchy looks hot) but not sure for that filament. Slow down a little.

I would agree that temp may be high but 210 for PLA is about right. Try turning off the bed heater 60 degC for bed will keep the deposited material from cooling completely and will PLA will tend to droop if it does not cool before the next layer is put down. I would second 0.2mm for layer height the prints will look much better.

Ok i’m gonna change the layer height to .2 and switch to a second filament i got. thanks for that!

The look good. for adhesion to the glass plate, I have been using a sheet called LokBuild, (lokbuild.com) very easy to print on, you have to set the nozzle height initially, but after that, just press print and it sticks. Use a metal spatula to get the print off. I have it on my Makerbot Rep 2 and a Reach3D printer. I have also used BuildTak but the LokBuild was easier to get the print off.
