Hi Fellow Makers,
We would like to use this thread to explore and discuss the brave new world of rapid prototyping using Makerbot devices.
Just two days ago, our hub @Makerwiz helped a team prototype a portable device that detects food allergens (pic.twitter.com/its6jDqld6) at Startup Weekend York Region (Techstars). The team subsequently won first place at the pitching competition as the judges were convinced of the potential of this new startup! Congrats to the folks at NextGenDx for winning!

That’s awesome! Having something tangible is definitely a huge benefit to work off of when prototyping. Just curious, how do you get involved with the Startup Weekend in the York Region and what role do you think rapid prototyping could play in the startup world?

This sounds awesome! I would be very interested to hear more details on the prototype, design, printer settings, etc. Basically info that would help me and other community members achieve similar results. Thanks in advance!
Hi Gang! Just found this story! After many fun builds, I’m narrowing my builds to functional needs! (Model aircraft builds/and fixturing of all types)
