Hi Trevor,

I am able to help you here. Just so I can understand what your needs are more, What is it exactly that will be going through the holes on the corners? Are they holes for bolts? Also is the centre meant to be hollow? I have started to design this so you can see it in a 3d model.

Hi Trevor,

Please find attached your design in STL format. Please note due to the size of it you may struggle to find someone with a printer big enough to get this done in one piece. If it is not necessary to be done in one piece I will happily have this printed for you.

Please note there was no radius specification for the holes in the corners so I used 8.5mm. I also chose a 3mm thickness over a 2mm thickness purely for strength.

Please feel free to contact me at any time if you need anything else designed or if you want anything printed. My Facebook page is;

Hey Trevor,

first step would be to look and see which hubs offer CAD services, and go from there.

i do personally, and can provide tax invoices as a registered ABN holder.

feel free to check out my hub and others’ as well to see what we can do, and I’m sure there’s a way to directly message or send enquiries.

Matt

hi trevor i am able to print this object in one. if you need it to be printed please contact me we have 3 printers 2 have a bed size of 300x250x530 and one at 300x250x330 in august of this year we take delivery of a printer that has a bed size of 1.2 metres x1.2 metres x2.4 metres so any big prints you have we can do them thank you rick 3dwise

Hi Trevor,

The size of the part will probably not allow you to print on most desktop printers as Nathan mentioned below. The print area size on most printers is about 290mm x 200 maximum. A few questions to find out a little more:

  • Is this part a hood of some sort? (i.e. does it have a solid top?)
  • Is there a skirt around the bottom of the part? If so what thickness does this need to be?
  • What material does this part need to be? A hard plastic like material or a more flexible material? We can print both options.

If this is something that you need in one piece we can still accomodate you by using a more traditional subtractive manufacturing method (Waterjet Cut or CNC Router Cut). Happy to discuss either and suit your timing and budget.

Look forward to hearing from you.

If you need someone to design the product in 3d for you, look at hubs that have modeling services and then send them a message asking for a quote to get the design modeled in 3d.
