As I already mentioned in other topic i successfully use Artec Eva for 3 years.
Now it became less handy for me as now my company has concentrated on historical facades. We then create miniatures from it. But I’m not about it. It’s complicated to scan a building with a handheld scanner like Eva. So I looked at manufacturers new Artec Ray 3d laser scanner. It seems it’s good for such a huge objects. But i can’t understand if it can capture textures. I mean it’s a laser lidar, I’m not sure if it’s for textures. Do anyone have such king of experience with lidars and could explain me if u could use such scanner to capture both shape and texture from architecture.
