I have a simple idea in mind for mounting the gopro session to the front of my quadcopter. It would be a 3 sided mount with the bottom angled upward 20-30 deg, the top would need a raised lip at the back to keep the velcro strap from slipping off. The front would have a cut out for the front of the session lens to poke through. The mount will just sit on the top plate of the quadcopter, flat piece of carbon fiber, and is secured with a 3/4 inch wide velcro strap. The top and bottom should be 1.25 inches on all sides. I’m not sure about thickness of the sides, but keeping it light weight is the whole idea, which is why i don’t want to use the case and mounts that come with the session. There are plenty of 3d models of the session online, but i have no 3d modeling experience.
Hey Paul, the best way to find a Hub for modelling is to use the More Filters option on Online 3D Printing Service | Instant 3D Printing Quotes | Hubs page and check ‘Can Help With 3D Modelling’ in the Hub services field.
After this, just select a Hub from the resulting list, click ‘view Hub’ in the pop up, then contact / enquiry with the hub on the hub profile page. Let me know if this works out.
Cheers,
Gabriela
Hi Paul
If you could send a sketch with a few dimensions, I could take a look at it for you.
Best regards
